Addiction to Sports on TV
Basketball is my cousin’s favorite sport on tv. He will watch it all day if he could. He has even gotten in trouble at work for watching a game online. Apparently there are websites that play sports all day and night. He is addicted to watching the game whenever he can. He refuses to eat dinner with the family because he has to watch the game. We are rarely able to pry him away from the television on Christmas due to the game being on. He will not come to the table and eat with the family unless we turn the game on in the kitchen. I have told him that I think he has a serious problem and should seek assistance to help him stop watching the game so much. He does not think he has a problem. In my opinion, when sports are interfering with everyday life, you know you are addicted.
